Stanford lost their star trio of receivers from 2022 to the NFL, and on Sunday it was Elijah Higgins who had a stand-out performance.
While his Arizona Cardinals ended up losing to MVP candidate Christian McCaffrey and the San Francisco 49ers, Higgins had a moment he will never forget. Late in the fourth quarter, Kyler Murray connected with Higgins for a touchdown to cut the lead to 45-29, which happened to be his first touchdown in the NFL.
The score marked his fourth catch of the day, which was the second most on the day for Arizona. It also matched his season total coming into the game, as Murray was looking for the speedy tight end often.
Higgins and the Cardinals will be taking on the Chicago Bears on Christmas Eve.
