Paris Saint-Germain could bolster their midfield this summer, and adding a veteran presence might be on the transfer wishlist. However, the capital club should be crossing one name off, as a report reveals he has no desire to head to the French capital.

In recent reports, the Parisians have been linked to Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich. The rumors began during the January transfer window and have only persisted as the summer months near.

However, Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg  reported on Monday that Kimmich has no desire to join PSG this summer. While he could well leave Bayern, only five clubs interest him: Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Real Madrid, and FC Barcelona.

Earlier this month, Kimmich spoke about his future  and hinted at how he wants the situation to play out. The German international notes his desire to remain with Bayern Munich as the team will undergo a change in the managerial position, with Thomas Tuchel leaving at the end of the season.

“My contract is still valid until 2025, I want to show my best for this club and then we will see what happens,” Kimmich said. “For sure, I’m happy here, I’m happy with [the] club and city of course.”
