Real Sociedad and Paris Saint-Germain will clash in an exciting UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first-leg showdown at the Parc des Princes on February 14th.

However, the Basque club is having their depth tested leading up to the matchup. Real Sociedad played to a scoreless draw against Rayo Vallecano. However, the important story in the match was PSG’s opponent losing two more players to injury.

This Saturday afternoon, injuries struck the Spanish side, sidelining two players. Arsen Zakharyan took a blow to his left ankle, forcing him to exit the game after just thirty minutes of play. In the dying moments of the match, Robin Le Normand fell victim to a muscle injury.

Real Sociedad will be without Aihen Muñoz, who suffered an anterior cruciate ligament rupture. The injury will keep him out for the matchup, and these next few days will determine how long Le Normand and Zakharyan will be out for.

With matches against Atlético de Madrid and Athletic Bilbao before the Champions League clash against PSG, they’ll have to hope that there are no other injuries.
