AC Milan have made a great success of signing Chelsea castoffs in recent years, and now they’ve apparently turned their attentions to a Blue who wants more minutes.

Sport Witness are today reporting that Carney Chukwuemeka is becoming a priority for Milan, who think they can snap up another bargain.

The midfielder apparently feels “trapped” at Chelsea where he doesn’t fancy his chances of playing regularly ahead of big money signings like Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo and Christopher Nkunku.

We’re going to have to put this one down as a major doubt for now. Carney was patient on the bench last year, and this year it’s only been injuries that have held him back from playing more. If he’s still stuck on the bench in 12 months, this is exactly the kind of move we can see happening. But for now the club still clearly value his ability and potential, and we’d imagine Carney has plenty of patience left.
