Juan Cuadrado is expected to go under the knife tomorrow to resolve his Achilles tendon problem, so Inter are turning towards Tajon Buchanan of Club Brugge.

The Colombia international arrived as a free agent from Juventus over the summer, but has struggled to get any playing time due to a recurring issue with his Achilles tendon.

According to Tuttosport and FCInter1908, it has been decided that Cuadrado needs an operation to solve the condition once and for all, which is scheduled as early as Wednesday.

With that in mind and a two-month lay-off at the least, Inter are seeking reinforcements for the right-back role on the January transfer market.

The first choice would appear to be Buchanan, who has been left on the bench for the last two Club Brugge matches in the Conference League and domestic competition.

The 24-year-old Canada international is under contract until June 2025 and contributed three goals and four assists in 20 official appearances for the Belgians this season.
