Ayr United head scout Ray Pattison says Ben Doak will prove a big hit with Liverpool fans.

Pattison scouted and signed Doak as a junior player before he left for Celtic.

He told the Liverpool Echo: "If he's hitting it off with Jurgen Klopp and impressing him, then that can only be a good thing and show what they think of him at Liverpool.

"He's training with some top, top players regularly and you only have to look at how the senior players treat him. When they're on the pitch together, they don't look as though they think of him as a youngster but instead a proper Liverpool player. They trust him. He definitely ended up at the right club in England, for me.

"He already has the trust of Jurgen Klopp. He is a player who, as the saying goes, gets bums off seats. And I fully expect him to do that more and more at Liverpool. The fans like him and that's half the battle. Ben can be whatever he wants to be."
