Inter Milan have already set the stage for a possible move for Atletico Paranaense goalkeeper Bento next summer.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInter1908, who report that the Brazilian would cost around €15 million.

Inter are already starting to plan for the future in the goalkeeping position.

In the summer transfer window prior to this season, there was significant upheaval in the role.

Samir Handanovic left Inter after more than a decade. And so did Andre Onana, the man who the Nerazzurri had signed just twelve months prior as Handanovic’s long-term successor.

Handanovic retired from football. And Onana, meanwhile, made a big money move to Premier League giants Manchester United.

Inter looked at a number of possible replacements in goal.

The Nerazzurri considered a number of younger options.

Among these were Andriy Trubin, who eventually made the move to Benfica from Shakhtar Donetsk after prominent links with Inter.

And Paranaense keeper Bento was also on the Nerazzurri’s radar.

But in the end, Inter took a bit of a different tack.

Rather than signing a younger keeper for the future, Inter brought in veteran Yann Sommer from Bayern Munich.

Then, Emil Audero came in on loan from Sampdoria as a backup option.

But that does not mean that Inter have locked down the position for the long term. Far from it, the Nerazzurri are still considering their strategy for as early as next summer.

Inter Laying The Groundwork For A Move For Paranaense Keeper Bento

According to FCIN1908, Bento is one of the main players on Inter’s radar as their next goalkeeping signing.

The Brazilian had fully convinced the club directors with his performances in Brazil.

And at 24 years of age, Bento would have real prospects to grow into the role at Inter.

Therefore, FCIN1908 report, Inter have had several contacts with the keeper’s representatives.

And according to the Italian outlet, Bento would welcome the move to Inter.

He is convinced by the Nerazzurri’s project.

And Inter also have a clear idea regarding the size of an offer that it would take to convince Paranaense to sell the 24-year-old.

The Brazilian club expect a bid of around €15 million.

Therefore, Inter have everything in position to move for Bento next summer.

That naturally does not mean that the Nerazzurri will actually pull the trigger.

But should the club directors decide to, they would not have to do too much more, FCIN1908 anticipate.
