With the uncertainty surrounding Manchester United’s ownership finally clearing up, the club can begin making plans for this summer’s transfer window and according to reports, they have already made some moves.

Erik ten Hag needs to strengthen several areas this summer and it’s absolutely crucial that he gets it right, with the last two summer windows being most hit-and-miss. Only a few select transfers can be regarded as 100% successful thus far.

United have been ravaged by injuries this season and that has exposed the lack of depth in the squad, with some areas in more pressing need of reinforcements than others.

Now, it is being reported that United have already made contact to sign Bayern Munich star Mathys Tel this summer, with the young attacker impressing.

Tel has not started a Bundesliga game this season and will consider his options this summer if he can’t see a path to success at Bayern Munich, according to German journalist Florian Plettenberg.

As per the report, Tel’s priority remains to make it at Bayern Munich but leaving on loan is not something the 18-year-old will consider.

In addition to United’s interest, it is reported that two other English clubs have enquired about that Frenchman as we head into the final couple of months of the season.

Tel scored the winner in United’s 4-3 loss at Bayern Munich earlier this season, finishing off a counter-attacking move in the closing minutes of the Champions League encounter.
