Manchester United's Paul Pogba gets Black Lives Matter symbol shaved into his hair

Manchester United's Paul Pogba is taking a stand in the fight against racial injustice and police brutality.

The 27-year-old Frenchman got the Black Lives Matter symbol shaved into his hair ahead of United's match against Bournemouth on Saturday.

The move by Pogba comes after many Black Lives Matter protests in the United States along with a countless number of soccer players showing their support for racial equality.

Other demonstrations included Bundesliga's Bayern Munich taking the field with Black Lives Matter T-shirts last month; Schalke's Weston McKennie, who wore a "Justice for George" armband during a match against Werder Bremen; Borussia Monchengladbach's Marcus Thuram, who took a knee after scoring a goal against Union Berlin; and Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho, who ripped off his shirt after scoring to reveal an undershirt with the message "Justice for George Floyd."

Pogba, who originally was set to move on from Manchester United, now is happy to stay with the club and no longer searching for a move to another one, according to ESPN's Julien Laurens.

The 27-year-old returned to United's lineup in June after several months due to an ankle injury.
