Former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has insisted that Italy have the talent to match up with other top European nations.

The Azzurri are being criticized for their lack of youth talent coming through in Serie A and into the national team.

While Mancini acknowledges that England possess talents such as Jude Bellingham, he claims Italy has such players, but they do not get enough chances.

The problem is not having talent, but letting them develop," the Italy coach said during a press conference on Wednesday.

We are seeking them everywhere, including in the youth teams.

I think Italy have four or five talents with the quality of Bellingham, but they need to be given playing time. We have young players with the quality, but they lack the experience.

In England, Holland or Germany, if a player is talented, then he will be allowed to play. Here we've got four or five at this level, but they need to play."
