New Real Betis football chief Manu Fajardo says Guido Rodriguez has a new contract offer in front of him.

Doubts persist over the future of the Argentina midfielder.

But Fajardo said last night: "Guido has had an offer on the table for some time now to renew with us, we expect positive news as soon as possible because he is a very important player for the club."

Guido's current deal expires in June.

On the January signing of Chimy Avila, he added: "Chimy vila can contribute to us many things given the verticality he has, his versatility, his desire and also off the pitch, he is a player always willing to contribute."
