Darren Lewis in the Daily Mirror claims that Mauricio Pochettino will “prioritise the signing of a goalkeeper” this summer once he takes over as Chelsea boss.

Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy have both worn the shirt this season but neither looks a long term option, and it’s really hurt our defence to have years of dodgy keeping behind it. It all starts between the sticks, and at the moment our foundations are on sand.

It’s good to know that (in theory) Pochettino has identified our problems. It’s felt like multiple managers have come in and tried to make the most of Kepa and Mendy, only to work out a year in that they’re not up to it.

If Poch has identified them as a weak point before even arriving, that bodes well. Of course replacing them won’t be easy, but we are going to have to try it at some point.
