Chelsea are back in the market for youth, and this time it's a Championship player they are showcasing an interest in. The name of the player is Finley Cartwright, and he plays for Middlesbrough.
Todd Boehly has employed a new regime since he took over as Chelsea owner and they have put a major emphasis on tracking youthful talent.
Cartwright is another example of that and Chelsea admire the Middlesbrough youngster.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are now monitoring the progress of Middlesbrough youngster Finley Cartwright.
Cartwright was born in 2006, and is one of the many names on the list at Chelsea to be brought in to improve the academy at Cobham.
The Middlesbrough youngster plays in midfield and is currently part of their u-18 squad. He has played seven games for the team this season so far.
Chelsea have focused on youth a lot since Boehly took over, with signings like Andrey Santos and Cesare Casedei showcasing what the club are looking to do going forward in terms of the youth setup.
No deal is done as of yet between Middlesbrough and Chelsea but usually there is no problems when a bigger club like Chelsea comes in for a player at a smaller club at youth level as long as there a suitable fee involved.
Chelsea will continue to monitor the situation and if they see fit to make an offer, Finely Cartwright could well be a Blue in the future.
