AC Milan legends Clarence Seedorf and Alessandro Nesta have added their voice to the growing chorus of those asking for a new stadium.

It is now well known that the Rossoneri leadership are pushing for the club to build a new state of the art stadium and there is perhaps no better exhibition in world football at the moment than the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The economic impact of moving into a solo stadium or even one not owned by the City Council would be profound as it would allow the club to generate huge revenues compared to the current amount and begin to bridge the gap to the European elite.

Nesta and Seedorf are part of the panel for the coverage of the game against Spurs on Prime Video and they were asked for their thoughts on Milan potentially building their own home, with their comments relayed by MilanNews.

Nesta: ”It’s time we have to do something, we need this. I remember years ago when I entered the stadium to warm up I looked out of the tunnel and you could see the bus outside. Maybe even today it is still like this. We have to move forward, bureaucracy or not, we have to do something.”

Seedorf: “In some countries, especially in Italy, everything should be done to align with the current European level and also to give a positive shock to the city: give work and many positive things to the community with a structure like this.”
