The youngest United States Champion in WWE history is Austin Theory. In the few years he has been a part of the WWE main roster, he has been able to take part in some of the most iconic WrestleMania moments in recent times. Theory defeated John Cena at last year’s WrestleMania and the year before that, he got to share the ring with Vince McMahon and WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Theory was a special guest on the iHeart Radio podcast. During the episode, he discussed his involvement in WrestleMania 40 and what he is looking forward to the most at the Grand Stage.

“Man! I’m ready to smack somebody in the mouth. That’s what I’m ready to do. Like you said, I’ve been in the ring with those guys (John Cena, Pat McAfee, and Stone Cold Steve Austin). And they are all very lucky to be in the ring with me. Even Big Dwayne [The Rock] you know. Everybody’s not too happy that The Rock came back. And I told everybody. I told The Rock to his face. I said, ‘It doesn’t matter what you got to say.’ But now, everybody’s trying to agree with me, but hey, that’s been there and it’s past. But looking forward to this WrestleMania, man there’s so many different moments that can happen, that I can make happen. And I’m just excited to see what happens. So we all got to just stay tuned,” Austin Theory said.

Austin Theory shares his experience in sharing the ring with The Rock

One of the key stars of this year’s WrestleMania is The Rock. A few months ago, The Great One made a shocking return to WWE SmackDown. He had a segment with the former WWE United States Champion. While speaking on the same podcast, Austin Theory shared that he only found out about the segment 30 minutes before the show started. He also claimed that he said the things he said to the People’s Champion as he wanted to put everyone on notice.

“When I got to the back, everybody just stared at me. Everybody kept their mouth shut. They knew what time it was. But man, that whole experience with The Rock, that was so cool. It was so last minute. I literally found out maybe 30 minutes before. And then… Yeah… I actually met The Rock five minutes before that and we went out there and we just felt the crowd and let everything rock and everything… That’s funny I say The Rock. But everything just flowed man. It worked out really well and maybe I wasn’t supposed to say what I said to The Rock but I said it, because I had to say it. Had to put everybody on notice.”
