The Grizzled Young Veterans tease that they’ll be coming back to AEW.

Former NXT UK Tag Team Champions the Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake and Zack Gibson) made their AEW debut on the April 27 episode of AEW Collision. There, they lost to The Acclaimed in a hard-fought match.

In a post on Twitter, AEW shared a video in which Gibson and Drake commented on their loss.

Zack Gibson: Do we look like we want an interview right now? Are you ill? We are Grizzled Young Veterans. Any man and their dog that was watching that match knows that the better team lost. The only reason, the only single, solitary reason why we lost tonight is because of Billy Gunn, a man that wasn’t even supposed to be out there. We have conquered all of Europe, and we are never gonna stop.

James Drake: So The Acclaimed, Billy Gunn, in fact, the whole AEW roster, this isn’t the last time you’re gonna see the GYV. So remember this, when you see us coming, grit your teeth.

Gibson and Drake left WWE in October 2023 after their contracts expired. In recent months, they have wrestled for TNA, and they have also been active on the independent scene.
