Matches are being put together for WWE WrestleMania 40 as we speak, but does the latest John Cena update hint that he could wrestle?

John Cena WrestleMania 40 Update

When it comes to WrestleMania, everyone wants to work the show. It probably has something to do with accomplishing a childhood dream and, well, the money.

For the longest time, John Cena was the top guy for WWE. He remains insanely popular, but has dramatically cut back on wrestling.

Like The Rock, he has shifted his focus to Hollywood.

Still, fans want to know if Cena will be at WrestleMania 40. Apparently, he was spotted at the WWE Performance Center yesterday, alongside the injured Charlotte Flair.

The reasoning for Cena being at the Performance Center is intersting. Some think he is preparing for a WrestleMania 40 match.

As of now, there has been no indication that Cena was part of anyWrestleMania plans. Although, WWE would easily make room for the 16 time world champion.

Perhaps, he could serve in a role as the official guest host. He does not wrestle, but gets mic time and maybe hits the AA.

He wrestled at WrestleMania 39, losing to Austin Theory in the opening match. Since then, he worked a few more times for WWE because of the Hollywood strike.

Basically, it is impossible to balance making movies and TV shows, while working WWE’s schedule.

A Crown Jewel, Solo Sikoa destroyed Cena. With that loss, Cena has not won a singles match in like five years.

A great angle heading into WrestleMania could be Cena vowing to retire if he loses his next singles bout.

So, does anyone want to see John Cena wrestle at WrestleMania 40? And, if he does, who should be the opponent?
