Since Mark Henry is leaving AEW as his contract will not be renewed, will the former WWE star continue to pursue wrestling or look elsewhere?

AEW is known to do a lot of things, include signing too much talent. Whenever WWE releases a bunch of wrestlers, AEW does not mind signing them. Unfortunately, the roster is too large and many do nothing for months. Henry retired from WWE after WrestleMania 33. By May 2021, he had departed his backstage roles in WWE for AEW. Basically, all he did in AEW was work commentary and act like a coach on occasion.

By tomorrow, Henry will no longer be part of AEW as his deal is up. On Busted Open Radio, Henry went over his future. “It’s a mutual thing,” said Henry. “If I can’t dedicate 100% of myself, then it’s only fair for both parties to end the relationship on a positive note. Like I said, it’s been nothing but positive.”

Another WWE Run Possible For Mark Henry?

WWE

“I’ve done my best to help as many people as I’ve could. There are still some things that I wanted to help with that I didn’t get to finish, but those people have my phone number and anytime that they need to call me, I’m available for them. I am not leaving pro wrestling. What I’m saying is that I’m going to take some time to work on some projects and I’m going to come back again in full force because that’s what I do.”

He continued how he was happy to work with Tony Khan and proud of what they produced. Also, he added wanting to have more time to focus on his other projects like TheMarkHenry.com and the Remarkable brand. No word if WWE has any interest in brining back “The World’s Strongest Man.” Remember, he left WWE on a negative note. Although, leadership there has dramatically changed within the last 18 months. So, does Mark Henry leaving AEW mean a WWE return is next?
