Erin Blanchfield did not have the nicest of things to say about Maycee Barber after their fight fell through on Saturday.
Blanchfield was supposed to fight Barber in the main event of UFC Vegas 107 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nev., on Saturday night. The fight was canceled at the last minute after Barber was not medically cleared to fight. Blanchfield said in a post-fight news conference that she was told Barber had suffered a seizure.
“I was told she had a seizure in the locker room,” Blanchfield said.
Blanchfield said she thought it was a bad sign when Barber failed to make weight for their fight and was a half-pound overweight on Friday.
“When she missed weight yesterday I definitely thought that was strange. I didn’t care; I was going to take her money.
“I feel like I’m still pretty in disbelief right now. I feel like I was in disbelief yesterday when she missed weight cuz we knew about this fight since January. So she missed weight, then she gets to Saturday … supposedly now she has all these health issues right when we’re supposed to fight. I think it’s pretty crazy, pretty unprofessional,” Blanchfield said.
Blanchfield did not hold back at all even though Barber was going through some health issues.
“I feel like it’s almost a nightmare kind of thing. She needs to look at another division. She needs to fix her life. She needs to just fix herself. I think she’s just a complete mess in every aspect of her life,” Blanchfield stated.

Blanchfield’s frustration with Barber may be due to their history. The two were set to fight in 2021, but Barber withdrew from that fight. A fight between them would seem pretty even based on records. Barber is 14-2, while Blanchfield is 13-2.
