Thomas Haden Church can see how his run as Flint Marko might have landed him a feature role in Twisted Metal.

Twisted Metal’s Thomas Haden Church spoke* with WrestleZone’s Managing Editor Bill Pritchard. Church was asked about the similarities between Agent Stone and Sandman, where an unfortunate event changed both of their lives. Church enjoyed the comparison of the two being a product of their environment, rather than just evil men. He added that he doesn’t think it was an accident he got the role on Twisted Metal.

“It’s funny you say that. I don’t think it’s an accident they thought of me because [Spider-Man: No Way Home] was still in theaters when this was being cast. It’s the same studio,” he noted. “I have a feeling that maybe somebody was like, ‘Whoa, what about Thomas for Agent Stone?’

“But I appreciate that comparison because I’m very proud of Flint Marko and his integrity as a father. Agent Stone, he really is kind of this self-made father of justice or law and order, the destroyer of mayhem. So that’s an interesting comparison. Nobody else has said that.”
