Aaron Judge, Harrison Bader, Frankie Montas, Giancarlo Stanton, Josh Donaldson, Carlos Rodon.

Those are just some of the New York Yankees who have dealt with injuries in the first month of the season.

Unfortunately, you can add a name to the long-term injury list as relief pitcher Lou Trivino will undergo Tommy John surgery and miss the rest of the season.

He's already been out the entirety of the season but now we know his season is over and he'll certainly miss some of next season as well as he rehabs.

He'll undergo the surgery in Los Angeles.

The 31-year-old was acquired last season in a deal with the Oakland Athletics, the same deal that brought the Yankees' Montas. He had an overall forgettable season in 2022 (2-8 with a 4.53 ERA) but he was better since joining the Yankees (1-2 with a 1.66 ERA in 25 games).

At one point, Trivino was one of the most used and elite relievers in the American League. he appeared in 69 games in 2018 and 71 in 2021 for Oakland.

For his career, he's 21-25 with a 3.86 ERA.

The Yankees are currently 15-15 and in last place in the American League East. Since April 13th, the Yankees offensive has really struggled. The team is last in runs/game (3.2), on-base percentage (.279), slugging percentage (.329) and OPS (.508).

The Yankees lost to the Cleveland Guardians on Monday night, 3-2, and the two teams will meet again at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday at Yankee Stadium.
