Red Sox fan breaks into Fenway Park during game against Yankees

Boston Red Sox fans certainly are something else, but it appears like one man is taking absurdity to the next level. The fan's actions could be categorized as either dedication or absolute derangement.

During the top of the eighth inning at Fenway Park on Sunday, a Red Sox fan, who clearly misses watching his team from the ballpark, could be seen climbing around the camera well in center field. He then began shouting toward the players while holding up a hat.

Both teams got a kick out of the matter. The Yankees even were seen laughing at the fan from the dugout.

According to Max Goodman of Sports Illustrated, the fan was doing push-ups at one point. Police officers eventually escorted him off the property.

Multiple reporters speculated he may have gained access to the ballpark by climbing the outside of the Green Monster, though that may not be the case. The fan could've entered the park in many different ways.

Major League Baseball opted not to have fans attend games in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Much like the guy that broke into Fenway Park on Sunday, many fans are missing watching baseball in person.

The Red Sox are well on their way to beating the Yankees with a 10-1 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. However, anything can happen with this Boston team, who has struggled immensely this season.

Rookie pitcher Tanner Houck got the start on the mound, tossing six innings, allowing just one hit and striking out four.
