Banged-up Steph Curry 'probable' vs. hurting Cavaliers

The Golden State Warriors will look to continue their hot start to the 2021-2022 season when they face the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday, and it appears that they'll have early NBA MVP candidate Stephen Curry available despite a hip injury.

Slater added that veteran Andre Iguodala will rest and sit out Thursday's game but "should return" when the Dubs play the Detroit Pistons on Friday.

Curry is currently leading the NBA in scoring at 28.7 points per game, three-pointers made per game at 5.4 and three-point attempts per game at 13.4. He's also currently posting a career-high 6.3 rebounds per contest, along with 6.6 assists and 1.7 steals per game.

Cleveland meanwhile will be severely shorthanded against Golden State.

The Warriors are off to an NBA-best 12-2 start, while the Cavaliers are currently tied with the Charlotte Hornets in the Eastern Conference at 9-7.
