Warriors’ Jonathan Kuminga continues to draw trade interest from Kings, others

The Jonathan Kuminga trade noise is sticking around, it seems. We suggest this because Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer reported that the Bulls, Kings and Suns remain interested in the Warriors forward — and that interest “is not going to go away.”

Sacramento in particular is expected to make another push during the season, per DallasHoopsJournal.

Kuminga signed a two-year, $48.5 million deal with Golden State earlier this week. The second year is a team option, giving the Warriors (or another team) the flexibility to rip it up and negotiate a new contract next offseason. He can be traded after January 15.

The Kings reportedly offered Malik Monk and a protected 2030 first-rounder for Kuminga this summer, but Golden State wasn’t impressed.

Kuminga averaged 15.3 points last season and has had a rocky relationship with Warriors coach Steve Kerr.

While he’s not seeking a midseason trade, Kuminga reportedly wouldn’t be upset about landing in Sacramento, where he’s already had positive talks with coach Doug Christie and the front office.
