Aaron Rodgers pokes fun at Davante Adams

Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams are still very close and have a great relationship. They were teammates for eight seasons in Green Bay. They are the most prolific QB-WR duo in Packers history (69 touchdowns together). That does not mean the quarterback can not poke fun at his old teammate. Adams made headlines for originally saying his new quarterback in Derek Carr is a Hall of Fame quarterback. "Anytime you change quarterbacks from Hall of Famer to Hall of Famer, it's going to be a little bit of an adjustment."

Rodgers, being the comedic signal-caller that he is, made fun of the quote while also complimenting his new top target in receiver Allen Lazard. "Yeah, I mean it's always tough going from Hall of Famer to Hall of Famer," Rodgers said before a crowd of laughing media members Wednesday. "From Davante to Allen, it's going to be a transition, but he's capable of a lot."

The relationship between Adams and his old quarterback is great, despite Adams being traded earlier this offseason to the Raiders. That does not appear to be changing anytime soon. But, Derek Carr (0 playoff wins) is not quite Aaron Rodgers (four-time MVP). Regardless, with both Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling both in the AFC West now, it is now time for Lazard to be the No. 1 receiver. He is coming off of a career season in terms of receptions (40), yards (513), and touchdowns (8).
