Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel reveals bizarre showering habits
Just one game through his career as an NFL head coach, Miami Dolphins lead man Mike McDaniel has already established himself as one of the more entertaining interviews in the league.
Leading up to the Dolphins' eventual 20-7 victory vs. the visiting New England Patriots in Week 1, McDaniel talked about the concept of season-opening overreactions, quipping, "We're either crowned, or we suck." Earlier last week, when analyzing the head-to-head matchup with the Patriots legendary head coach Bill Belichick, the former San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator said, "Could there be a bigger disparity in career win/loss totals?"
On Wednesday, as Miami prepares for its Week 2 road tilt against the Baltimore Ravens, McDaniel discussed one of the differences between being an assistant coach and a head coach.
The 39-year-old was hired as the newest Dolphins head coach in February. After holding a host of assistant roles in the NFL dating back to the mid-2000s, McDaniel joined the 49ers in 2017 as their run game coordinator and held that job until he was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2021.
