Johnny Manziel sees absolutely nothing wrong with Jimmy Garoppolo going out on a date with adult film star Kiara Mia, saying the San Francisco 49ers quarterback should just “live his life.”

Manziel, who may see more action in the CFL courtesy of a trade to the Montreal Alouettes, weighed in on the gossip-rag drama surrounding the 49ers quarterback. Garoppolo of course attracted an incredible amount of attention due to his outing last week in Beverly Hills with Mia.

“What’s wrong with it?” Manziel said Thursday on his “Comeback SZN” podcast, via TMZ. “Dude, let the guy live his life! So what, what she does for a living?

“If anything, that’s going to make him play better on a Sunday or a Monday.”

Manziel later sent a person message to Garropolo: “Jimmy G, live your life! Do whatever you want. He’s backing it up on the field, he hasn’t lost a game. Nothing. Guy’s doing everything … and he’s enjoying life. So be it.”

Manziel of course is quite familiar with having his actions off the field become tabloid fodder, oftentimes resulting in unsavory headlines that played a role in his downward spiral on the way out of the NFL.

That said, it would appear Garropolo understands how to better manage the spotlight in light of his comments concerning his now-infamous date.

“Life is different now,” Garoppolo said Wednesday from Niners camp. “My life off the field, I’ve never really been big on being very public with things. Even social media, I’m not out there a ton. My life’s looked at differently. I’m under a microscope.

“Like Kyle [Shanahan] said, it is a good learning experience. Just have to take it in stride. It is what it is.”

Indeed.
