King of Props: Kamara ready
Having spent nine seasons as the starting quarterback of the division-rival Bengals, Andy Dalton is very familiar with the John Harbaugh–coached Ravens. He has played 18 games against them in his career, with the most recent one being a relief appearance for the Bears last year. As Dalton prepares to make his sixth start for the Saints, we’re backing his favorite target for our top prop:
The bet: Over 4½ receptions for Saints running back Alvin Kamara (DraftKings)
Since sitting out the Week 4 game in London due to a rib injury, Kamara has been seeing a ton of passing volume. Dalton has thrown to him 34 times over the last four games, resulting in catch totals of 6, 6, 7, and 9.
It recalls the halcyon days when Drew Brees was still running the show in New Orleans. Over the first nine games of the 2020 season, for instance, Kamara averaged 7.4 receptions and caught at least five passes in eight of them.
On the other side tonight is a Baltimore defense that has allowed the fifth-most receptions to running backs this season. The Buccaneers’ Leonard Fournette and previous prop converter Rachaad White each caught three passes the last time the Ravens played, which was likewise in prime time.
Now it’s Kamara’s turn in the spotlight.
