The Buccaneers have been beaten by a one-win team in consecutive weeks, scoring a total of 21 points as the Steelers and Panthers earned their second victories of the season. After failing to lead a touchdown drive in Sunday’s embarrassing loss to Carolina, seven-time Super Bowl champ Tom Brady may be questioning his decision to return for a 23rd season. But against the Ravens on Thursday night, a player half his age should be able to provide a spark and deliver our top prop:
The bet: Over 15½ receiving yards for Buccaneers running back Rachaad White (BetMGM)
Although stuck behind starter Leonard Fournette, White has gradually been carving out a bigger role. He played on a season-high 43% of the offensive snaps last week, and coach Todd Bowles said in the postgame that the rookie “should get some more plays.”
White was a prolific receiver at Arizona State, catching 43 passes for 456 yards as a senior, and that figures to be an area where his usage increases. He has already shown the Bucs that he’s more than capable, posting respective totals of 50 and 28 receiving yards in Weeks 4 and 5.
The Ravens rank 26th in pass defense and frequently allow opposing running backs to exceed this number. Even lightly used backups like the Bengals’ Samaje Perine (4 catches for 39 yards) and the Giants’ Matt Breida (2 for 17) got there, so this feels like a flight night for White.
