NFL Week 7 betting guide

Six weeks down in the NFL, and with the standings deadlocked around the league, plenty is left to be decided. Whether it's an angle on a spread, total or a prop, we've got one pick for all 13 games left on the Week 7 schedule.

New York Giants @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Spread: Jacksonville -3

Total: 43 points

It's hard for us to ignore what the Giants are doing. 5-1 and 5-1 ATS, they're playing sound football led by a strong run game and a defense keeping teams out of the end zone. Jacksonville has dropped three straight and is just 2-4 ATS, so our pick here is simple.

Betting: Giants +3

Detroit Lions @ Dallas Cowboys

Spread: Dallas -7

Total: 49 points

Dak Prescott has been cleared to return, and it comes at an important time for the Cowboys, currently third in the NFC East. This Lions defense has been atrocious thus far, so we're banking on Dallas coming out firing and easily handling Detroit at home.

Betting: Cowboys -7

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Carolina Panthers

Spread: Tampa Bay -11

Total: 40 points

Analysis: the Panthers are bad. They're now 1-5 ATS and in the standings, and just shipped off their best player in Christian McCaffrey. Brady and the Bucs just lost to the Steelers; expect them to take out their frustrations on poor Carolina.

Betting: Buccaneers -11

Atlanta Falcons @ Cincinnati Bengals

Spread: Cincinnati -6.5

Total: 47 points

At this point, we're betting the Falcons to cover the spread until something changes. Marcus Mariota is doing just enough to move the ball down the field, and Atlanta just keeps hanging in games. They're 6-0 ATS. We're riding the streak.

Betting: Falcons +6.5

Cleveland Browns @ Baltimore Ravens

Spread: Baltimore -6.5

Total: 46 points

The Ravens have had the Browns' number the past two years, winning three of four matchups. However, they haven't covered this 6.5-point spread in three straight against Cleveland. Baltimore has been in some close games this year, evidenced by their 2-3-1 ATS record. We'll take a close AFC North battle here.

Betting: Browns +6.5

Green Bay Packers @ Washington Commanders

Spread: Green Bay -4.5

Total: 41 points

This Washington secondary has been a serious liability, and teams have been successfully pushing the ball downfield against them with regularity. Allen Lazard has grown into Aaron Rodgers' most trusted target this year, and given he's racked up five 20+ yard catches over the past three weeks, he seems primed for a big game.

Betting: Allen Lazard over 48.5 receiving yards (-110 DK)

Indianapolis Colts @ Tennessee Titans

Spread: Tennessee -2.5

Total: 42 points

In the last five games against the Colts, Derrick Henry has averaged 115.2 rushing yards. He's gone for 100+ in four of those games. James Robinson and Travis Etienne combined for 140 yards against the Indy defense last week, and Henry already faced the Colts once just three weeks ago. He finished with 114 yards there.

Betting: Derrick Henry over 89.5 rushing yards (-115 DK)

New York Jets @ Denver Broncos

Spread: Denver -1

Total: 38.5 points

We love what the Jets have been doing. Their offense is running on all cylinders, and Sauce Gardner has added a confidence to their defense. All of a sudden the Jets are looking legit. The same cannot be said for the Broncos, who are completely spiraling.

Betting: Jets moneyline (+100 DK)

Houston Texans @ Las Vegas Raiders

Spread: Las Vegas -6.5

Total: 45.5 points

We have two teams hitting their overs more often than not on this young season, and two teams that have seen plenty of touchdowns scored against them. That adds up to a high-scoring game for us. Houston is particularly vulnerable to scores from running backs, and Josh Jacobs has dominated touches in Las Vegas.

Betting: Josh Jacobs touchdown (-135 DK)

Kansas City Chiefs @ San Francisco 49ers

Spread: Kansas City -2.5

Total: 48.5 points

Christian McCaffrey is now a 49er, adding a fun new layer to a San Francisco offense that already has strong pass-catchers. The Chiefs obviously are no slouch either, leading the league in points scored. This feels like the right game to load up on some points.

Betting: Over 48.5 points

Seattle Seahawks @ Los Angeles Chargers

Spread: Los Angeles -5

Total: 50.5 points

No team has been more generous to tight end production than Seattle's defense. They've allowed 11 plays of 20+ yards from TEs, four more than the next closest team. They've also allowed the third-most touchdowns to the position this year. We like Gerald Everett to have a big game, and would recommend you consider him in your DFS lineups this Sunday.

Betting: Gerald Everett touchdown (+190 DK)

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Miami Dolphins

Spread: Miami -7

Total: 44.5 points

No team has allowed more explosive plays through the air than Pittsburgh. Each week, big plays are happening against the Steelers, and now we get one of the fastest offenses in the NFL to take advantage in Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Tua Tagovailoa is back, and these wide receivers should be able to have a night.

Betting: Jaylen Waddle over 58.5 receiving yards (-115 DK)

Chicago Bears @ New England Patriots

Spread: New England -8

Total: 40 points

Will it be Bailey Zappe or Mac Jones on Monday night? We don't know yet, but it almost doesn't matter when we've seen how dreadful this Bears offense has been. Trust that Bill Belichick will cook up a good gameplan and dominate Chicago.

Betting: Patriots -8
