Odell Beckham Jr. linked with Ravens

Jeremy Fowler has become the latest ESPN personality to link free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. with the 6-3 Baltimore Ravens. 

"This isn't a receiver-friendly offense, but with Rashod Bateman out, Beckham might vibe with a Lamar Jackson connection," Fowler said for a piece published Wednesday morning. 

Fowler offered his take less than a week after ESPN's Mina Kimes said during a television segment that Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta should call Beckham. 

Fowler added the Los Angeles Rams, Beckham's most recent employer that sits at 3-5, "can't look at their current state and say, 'We're one Odell Beckham away.'" While Beckham seemed to tease earlier this fall that he could sign with the Green Bay Packers, that was before Green Bay dropped to 3-6. 

Fowler admitted the Buffalo Bills "remain a solid fit" for OBJ but are also "big on chemistry and might not want to disrupt what's working well for them right now." Meanwhile, Dan Graziano of ESPN disagreed with FS1 personality Emmanuel Acho and said the 6-2 Dallas Cowboys "aren't Odell Beckham away from the Super Bowl" and "are actually fine without him." Graziano thinks the Bills and Kansas City Chiefs "still make the most sense to me" regarding Beckham's eventual landing spot. 

New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen told reporters last week he could welcome Beckham back to the organization that originally drafted the three-time Pro Bowl selection in 2014. However, Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones, franchise legend Michael Irvin, and current Dallas star pass-rusher Micah Parsons have all publicly courted Beckham to join "America's Team" this fall. 

While it seems Beckham won't be hurting for suitors, it's unknown what type of asset he'll be coming off the torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee he suffered in February. Assuming the 30-year-old will need at least a couple of weeks of practice with a team after he puts pen to paper on a deal, it's becoming more likely he won't play before December.
