Ravens' Marlon Humphrey gives final message to team
The Ravens wrapped up their mandatory minicamp on Thursday and CB Marlon Humphrey gave the team one last message before parting ways until training camp.
"I think to win a Super Bowl, you gotta put a lot of time and effort in ... You got this big break, whether it's you want to hang out with your dawg a lot, hang out with your girl a lot ... Try to do as much of that as you can because when we come back, we want everyone to put in as much time into football as you can," Humphrey said. "The offseason is long, plenty of time. These days, these practices, being in the NFL, it's a very short span compared to the rest of your life."
Humphrey, who is entering his seventh season in 2023, sees just how special Baltimore can be this year and believes it's time to put up or shut up.
"On paper, man, we look very scary," Humphrey added. "We got the pieces. It's just putting them together, working together, figuring out how it works ... I think this is the year of just prove it."
Although it took some time for the Ravens to add talent this offseason, once they started, they couldn't stop.
Baltimore made Lamar Jackson the highest-paid quarterback in the league along with adding WR Odell Beckham Jr., WR Nelson Agholor and CB Rock Ya-Sin in free agency and WR Zay Flowers and LB Trenton Simpson in the draft.
The Ravens certainly have the talent to make a Super Bowl run, and if the team takes Humphrey's advice, it may just be on its way in 2023.
