Lamar Jackson is a happy man after the Ravens spent their offseason giving him more weapons. On Wednesday, he gave his first impressions of WR Odell Beckham Jr., who signed a one-year deal with the team in April.
"I think he looks pretty smooth," Jackson told reporters. "Crisp routes, great hands...he looks pretty good out there."

Beckham Jr., who will turn 31 this season, has struggled with injuries over the past few years, missing the entire 2022 season after tearing his ACL in Super Bowl LVI.
However, he certainly has the capability of being one of the best receivers in the league when healthy. Beckham Jr. had 70+ catches and 1,000+ yards in five of his first six seasons.
Jackson knows exactly what Beckham Jr. is bringing to Baltimore, as he has watched him his whole career.
"Odell is a legend to a lot of us. You know, what he did early in his career," Jackson added. "Odell is him. One of those guys."
Jackson said he wants to "throw for 6,000" yards this year. The most he has thrown for is 3,127 yards during his MVP season in 2019. But if Beckham Jr. can stay healthy mixed with Jackson's revamped arsenal, he may just reach his lofty aspirations in 2023.
