Tom Brady 'went full speed' at start of Buccaneers' mandatory minicamp

So much for Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady "doing a lot of coaching" throughout this week's mandatory minicamp.

As was expected, Brady participated during Tuesday's start of minicamp coming off the offseason operation on his left knee, but head coach Bruce Arians suggested last week the seven-time champion signal-caller would be more a spectator than anything else at camp.

According to Joey Knight of the Tampa Bay Times, Arians explained following Tuesday's practice that Brady "went full speed." Even if that is the case, the 43-year-old rocked a sleeve on his knee and was at least somewhat limited as it pertains to facing defenders.

Also last week, Buccaneers quarterbacks coach Clyde Christensen said he believes Brady's knee was not 100% throughout the 2020 season that ended with Brady and company hoisting the Vince Lombardi Trophy. The future Hall of Famer has worked out this spring on his own without the use of a brace or sleeve, but one can't blame the Buccaneers for keeping things light and safe at this stage of Brady's recovery.
