Everton have rejected Tottenham's compromise offer for Dele Alli's latest transfer payment.

The Times says Spurs have offered to reduce the 10m fee Everton are due to pay once Alli reaches 20 appearances.

The midfielder has played 13 games so far for the Toffees.

Spurs were willing to accept a reduced fee of 8m for the midfielder given his issues off the pitch.

But Everton have rejected the proposal as it would involve the number of appearances needed to trigger the payment also being lowered.
