Jason Statham says Post Malone had 'big enthusiasm for being killed' in 'Wrath of Man'

Post Malone had a small role in Wrath of Man, listed under his birth name Austin Post as Robber #6, but the nine-time Grammy nominated artist had a profound presence on set.

"Post came in with this big enthusiasm for being killed that day," Jason Statham, who stars as the action thriller's leading man simply named H, told USA Today. "He's like, 'I can't wait for you to kill me, man.' I got sucked into that enthusiasm, and he did a great job. It's just a shame that it was a short moment together. But I was privileged to pull the trigger in our little scene."

The 53-year-old actor added that Posty "invited me to come make a record," but Statham wasn't interested. "I quickly relieved him of that bad choice," he said.

Post's cameo made its way into the Wrath of Man trailer released in March:

The Hollywood's Bleeding star previously made his acting debut in Peter Berg's Spenser Confidential (2020), thanks to Mark Wahlberg:

Wrath of Man  was directed by Guy Ritchie, who gave Statham his break in 1998's Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels before he went on to make a name for himself in action-packed films such as Fast & Furious and The Expendables. The movie is in theaters now.
