John Cena is back to lead the in-your-face "Peacemaker" season 2 trailer

It would appear "Peacemaker" is more of the same from James Gunn and company, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. The first season of "Peacemaker" had to do a lot of work. The titular character, a deranged funhouse-mirror version of Marvel Captain America, was the most-villainous of the Suicide Squad members in Gunn's movie. As such, the first season had to take him from that point and turn him into an anti-hero while also introducing a bunch of new characters. By and large, it worked, though the season was quite dark. "Daredevil: Born Again" only dreams of living in the space "Peacemaker" does.

Now, in the second season, that pipe has been laid and the story can be continued with a little less effort and exposition. With, of course, all the violence and vulgarity and cameos from James Gunn's brother you can expect from one of his efforts. 

"Peacemaker" second season begins streaming on August 21. That's only three weeks after Cena will be headlining Summerslam, WWE's second-biggest event of the year. The favorable coincidences continue!
