Clint Barmes and his venison
In 2005, Rockies shortstop Clint Barmes fell down a flight of stairs carrying venison meat. The incident left Barmes with a broken collarbone. That better have been some tasty venison.

Burress had accidentally shot himself in the leg. Because New York City has such strict gun laws, Burress was forced to serve jail time for the incident. In the end, one bullet to his own thigh cost Plaxico Burress two years of his career.
