Jets' Aaron Rodgers tells players to relax with MetLife Stadium turf complaints

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers appeared on "The Pat McAfee Show" on Tuesday and told fellow NFL players to relax with their ongoing complaints about the MetLife Stadium turf.

Rodgers said that there were "a lot worse places" than the home of the Jets and New York Giants, and he could name "a lot of stadiums that are sh--holes comparatively."

MetLife Stadium has long been one of the most criticized complexes in the NFL since it opened in 2010. The negative feedback on the field's playing surface has seemingly increased this season though, ever since Rodgers tore his Achilles four plays into his Jets career in Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills.

It remains to be seen if the four-time MVP's serious injury will cost him the rest of the 2023 campaign.

A September report from The Athletic said that it's "unclear what role, if any" the turf had in the signal-caller's injury during the New York's Week 1 overtime win over Buffalo.

Rodgers told "The Pat McAfee Show" that he's not yet at a point where he can make a decision on possibly coming back this season. Rodgers added that a potential return from injury this winter will depend on his health and the team's postseason chances.

The Jets enter Week 13 on a four-game losing streak and at 4-7 overall, in third place in the AFC East and outside of the playoff picture.
