Adele celebrates '30' release: 'It was a ride'

Adele has been working on "30" for at least three years, as she always names her albums after the age at which she begun writing them, and today, it's finally out in the world.

The 33-year-old songstress celebrated her fourth album's release with a blissful photo.

"It was a ride," the 15-time Grammy winner wrote, "so I threw my arms up and screamed! Love you all."

The 12-track project reflects on Adele's divorce from Simon Konecki, the impact that had on their nine-year-old son, Angelo, and the the work she did on herself to claim happiness and peace.

"Easy On Me," the lead single, arrived in mid-October and surged to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart — her fifth career No. 1 single and first since "Hello" in 2015-16.
