Luke Wilson on 'Legally Blonde 3': 'I'm always up to work with Reese again'

We can't get too greedy.

It has long been confirmed that Reese Witherspoon will reprise her iconic role of Elle Woods for Legally Blonde 3—a screenplay partially written by Mindy Kaling, no less. What more could anyone ask for?

Well, Luke Wilson is continuing to give fans hope that he will return as Emmett Richmond, Elle's love interest in Legally Blonde (2001) and eventual husband in Legally Blonde 2 (2003).

"I'm always up to work with Reese again," Wilson told People. "We'll just have to see what happens."

This isn't the first time, nor will it be the last, that the 49-year-old actor was asked about a return to the Legally Blonde universe, as he previously commented to Entertainment Tonight in May 2020.

"I have not talked to Reese about it, but yeah, I always kind of hear rumors here and there," he said then. "Never anything official about them doing another Legally Blonde, but I'd love to do another one. I mean, just that character Reese played was so funny at the time and that has kind of become this iconic character now."

Now that there is a Legally Blonde 3 officially in place, Wilson's willingness to revive Emmett holds a little more weight.
