Deadpool And Wolverine might be bringing back a much-loved villain.

Josh Brolin, who plays antagonist Cable in Deadpool 2, responded to a question he’ll be reprising his role in the upcoming sequel.

“Are you in Deadpool 3 and if not, why?” asks Collider, linked below.

“No, I don’t know. Ryan [Reynolds] doesn’t like me? I don’t know…” replies Brolin, before turning to camera and saying, “Maybe.”

Ever the pro, Brolin is giving nothing away, while still leaving a faint glimmer of hope that he could make a surprise appearance.

Cable is a cybernetic mutant soldier from the future. He’s still alive by the end of Deadpool 2, so it’s not off the cards. If true, a lot of people would bear witness, because Deadpool And Wolverine is the most watched trailer ever.

Also, he has previously mentioned a four-movie deal for the character. Speaking to Empire in 2018, Brolin says: “We think about it in four movie terms. We tried to think of Cable as a full arc, not just in this movie, but in the trajectory of four films. That made it a lot more fun for me.”
