If you’re into superhero films, 2025 is stacked.

There are six massive blockbusters heading to cinemas from both Marvel and DC, meaning a new superhero movie roughly every two months.

The following are currently in production. Here’s when you can catch them in 2025.

Captain America: Brave New World

Feb 14

Directly following on from Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) takes over the Captain America mantle as he faces off against Harrison Ford’s Red Hulk.

Thunderbolts

May 2

Mavel’s take on The Suicide Squad. It follows an anti-superhero team made up of reformed supervillains, including Red Guardian, Taskmaster, Yelena Belova, Ghost, and US Agent.

Superman: Legacy

July 11

James Gunn’s first crack at a DC movie after helming three Guardians of the Galaxy films for Marvel. The cast is locked in, and new Superman actor David Corenswet looks ideal. Check out the Superman: Legacy actor bulking up in a new image,

Fantastic Four

July 4

With the full cast now locked in, fans are getting excited for the Fantastic Four reboot. The previous film from 2015 was bland and forgettable, but with Pedro Pascal leading the famous family, it being better can’t be much of a stretch,

The Batman 2

Oct 4

One of DC’s best superhero films ever was destined for a sequel. With The Batman star Robert Pattinson reportedly spotted on the set of The Penguin, we might see a return from Colin Farrell’s icy gangster.

Blade

Nov 7

Rumors abound of rewrites and reshoots, but the release date is set in stone for this dark thriller about a half-man, half vampire anti-hero who wants to rid the world of vampires despite having quite a lot in common with them.
