Kathy Griffin provides health update: 'I'm cancer-free!'

Kathy Griffin has a clean bill of health after treating Stage 1 lung cancer with surgery in August.

"I'm cancer-free!" the 61-year-old comedian shared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," before cracking a few jokes about the process of having half of her left lung removed (three-minute mark).

Griffin had publicly announced her diagnosis Aug. 2.

Later that night, a "Nightline" feature on Griffin with correspondent Juju Chang aired.

The two-time Primetime Emmy winner revealed that she "made a very serious suicide attempt" in June 2020, accelerated by a pill addiction developed after this controversial photo threatened her career, and that the mass on her long was there "for a long time" and monitored every three years before recently doubling in size.

With Kimmel, Griffin touched on "very slowly getting uncancelled" and promoted her appearance on HBO's "Search Party."
