Country music icon Reba McEntire made her debut as a coach on "The Voice" in Season 24. This year, in Season 25, she teamed up with powerhouse vocalist Asher HaVon. McEntire led HaVon to an impressive victory, securing her first championship in only her second season. HaVon was named the Season 25 winner of the popular NBC reality TV show.

Dubbed "the queen of country music," Reba McEntire began her professional music career in the late 1970s and quickly rose to prominence in the country music industry. McEntire's career spans several decades, and she has had numerous achievements across various fields. She has released more than 30 studio albums, many of which have achieved multi-platinum or gold certifications. Though recognized for country music, McEntire is known for her powerful voice, emotive delivery, and ability to blend traditional country sounds with contemporary elements. Her versatility and boldness helped her to become an exceptional coach on "The Voice."

Although Season 24 was considered her "debut coaching year," McEntire is no stranger to "The Voice." Before taking the red chair from coach Blake Shelton, she appeared multiple times as his Battle Advisor and Mega Mentor. There was a lot to love about Season 24, but one of the most important aspects was McEntire serving as a full-time coach and building her own team for the first time. With a year of full-time coaching experience under her belt, McEntire came back with a vengeance and coached the artists who became the champion and reserve champion of the competition.

The Season 25, two-hour finale aired Tuesday, May 21. The final five contestants performed a few more times on "The Voice" stage. They teamed up with their coaches and delivered incredible and emotional performances. Coaches John Legend, Dan and Shay, and Reba McEntire had finalists in the top five from their teams. Asher HaVon and Josh Sanders, from McEntire's team, came in first and second, respectively.

Asher HaVon is from Selma, Alabama. The 31-year-old soul singer has powerful vocals that draw attention. Moments before the winner was named, McEntire spoke to HaVon and said, "I have seen you grow. I have seen you change, not in any way of your personality or your talent, but in your happiness. I know you’ve had such a great time here on 'The Voice,' and everybody has had a wonderful time with you, especially me."

Coach John Legend also had praise for HaVon and his talents. After HaVon covered Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You," Legend said, "I truly believe you're the best vocalist in this competition." Fans agreed when they voted HaVon the winner of "The Voice."

Reba McEntire's journey on "The Voice" promises to be another captivating chapter in her illustrious career. As a beloved figure in the world of country music and entertainment, her presence on the show undoubtedly inspires both contestants and audiences alike. This year, she added another accolade to her diverse, widespread, and successful career by winning the competition with a very talented and unique artist, Asher HaVon.

Looking ahead to Season 26, fans can expect to see McEntire back in the big red chair, this time accompanied by returning coach Gwen Stefani, singer-songwriter Michael Bublé, and rapper Snoop Dogg. Tune in this fall to NBC to watch Season 26 of "The Voice."
