Watch Maroon 5's hazy new 'Lost' music video

Maroon 5 is back with their seventh studio album JORDI, out today (June 11), and the Adam Levine-led band added something a little extra to release day.

The official music video for "Lost" premiered right at midnight:

In it, Levine and his bandmates wander around a hazy and deserted beach while wearing suits. Eventually, Levine plummets into the ocean and locks eyes with a beautiful mermaid. That scene coincides with the chorus, where Levine sings, "Lost, I was lost, I was lost 'til you loved me / Now I'm found, now I'm found, now I'm found." (Think "Amazing Grace," but secular mainstream pop.)

Maroon 5 performed the track on A Late Show with Stephen Colbert :

JORDI is named after Levine's childhood friend and Maroon 5's late manager Jordan Feldstein, who died in December 2017—one month after JORDI's predecessor Red Blue Pills was released—at 40 years old:

The three-time Grammy winners previously honored Feldstein with September 2019 single "Memories," which is included in the JORDI track list as a remix featuring YG and the late Nipsey Hussle.

The 11-track album also features Bantu, blackbear, H.E.R., the late Juice WRLD, Megan Thee Stallion and Stevie Nicks.
