Based on a true story, the film follows Mark Wahlberg's pro adventure racer Michael Light as he competes in the Adventure Racing World Championship in the Dominican Republic.

Along the way Michael meets a scrappy street dog, who he calls Arthur, and together they forge an unbreakable bond that lasts ten days and 435 miles of gruelling running, climbing, and paddling.
