The next Mission: Impossible film is facing a delay due to a mishap with a submarine.
Mission: Impossible 8, which doesn’t yet have an official title, was filming with real submarine that reportedly cost $25m. However, according to The Daily Mail, the gimbal used to lower it jammed under its weight and had to be repaired.
That resulted in a lengthy delay of several weeks. Not only that, but the costs of the film are set to rise after the unexpected incident.
The production has so far gone without a hitch. The only controversy came after Mission Impossible 8 set photos leaked online , showing a bloody Tom Cruise sprinting down Westminster bridge in London.
It’s a direct sequel to the seventh film in Cruise’s long-running blockbuster series, Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning, and sees his super spy Ethan Hunt attempt to stop a rogue AI destabilizing the entire world.
