Watch the trailer for Max's intriguing '70s crime show "Duster"

Right off the jump, the trailer for "Duster" was all sideburns and Keith David, and we were enticed. What's "Duster," you might be asking? Also, what's going on in this trailer? Well, as a jumping off point, you can check out the trailer right here:

That couple minutes of trailer gives a good sense of the plot of the show (maybe a little too much, if we're being honest) but also the vibe this period-piece drama is going for. It may not be the era of "The Rockford Files" anymore, but that feeling can live on.

Josh Holloway, of "Lost" fame, plays a getaway driver in the American Southwest of the 1970s. He then gets roped into the ambitious plans of an enterprising young FBI agent played by Rachel Hilson. It seems like a rollicking crime drama that doesn't take itself too seriously, and it could be a fun watch.

"Duster" has been in the works since 2020, back when Max was still officially called HBO Max. It was co-created by veteran TV writer LaToya Morgan and some guy named J.J. Abrams. That's right, "Duster" is a reunion between "Lost" helmer Abrams and one of the stars of that show in Holloway.

The first episode of "Duster" hits (HBO) Max on May 15. That gives you a couple weeks to grow out those sideburns!
