The next Paddington movie is coming.
That’s what’s teased in this poster at The Licensing Expo currently underway in Las Vegas. As seen by Collider, Paddington appears in his signature red hat and blue coat, and appears to be reaching out of the frame to offer a bite of his marmalade sandwich.
Paddington in Peru is reportedly set to release in theatres this year. However, it’s a staggered release. Paddington in Peru announced its release date earlier this year.
After its theatrical run, you’ll likely be able to find it on the same streaming services as Paddington 2. That includes, Netflix, Disney+, and Max.
As for the plot, the third movie in the Paddington series is still under wraps, although you can imagine it once again overflowing with warmth and whimsy.
It sees Ben Whishaw return as the voice of Paddington, with appearances from Hugh Bonneville, Emily Mortimer, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Madeleine Harris, Samuel Joslin, Olivia Colman, Antonio Banderas and Carla Tous.
The sequel to Paddington (2014) and Paddington 2 (2017) entered development in February 2021. It finished filming in October 2023 after shooting in the United Kingdom, Colombia and Peru.
Paddington’s official YouTube channel revealed just how much Peru means to Paddington last year with this short clip titled Paddington dreams of Peru.
